Description

The company is an AI research and deployment business. The company for Government team works with public sector organizations, including government agencies, public institutions, and partners that serve government. The team helps them find where AI can support critical missions, designs secure and scalable solutions, and moves those solutions from early exploration into sustained production use.

The team combines technical strategy, customer partnership, and deployment expertise. It works closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, Research, Security, Global Affairs, and specialist delivery teams.

This role is the senior technical owner for a named set of customers and the main technical contact for their leadership. You will shape each customer's AI strategy and guide them from pre-sales discovery and evaluation through deployment, adoption, and measurable mission results.

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical account plan for ChatGPT Enterprise, the company API, Codex, and other agentic AI solutions.
  • Work with the Account Director to turn mission priorities into a focused set of use cases, a practical adoption roadmap, and a clear route to lasting customer value. The Account Director owns overall account strategy and the relationship; you own technical strategy, the customer journey, and the path to production.
  • Stay accountable for the technical outcome. Bring in specialists in deployment, implementation, enablement, security, product, and partners to add depth and carry out work where needed.
  • Act as the primary technical adviser and long-term technical contact for a named portfolio of public sector customers and pre-sales prospects.
  • Lead discovery with agency leaders, mission owners, executives, and technical teams to identify, qualify, and rank use cases by their mission and operational value.
  • Design clear Applied AI Architectures covering models, applications, data, integration, identity, security, privacy, governance, evaluation, and deployment.
  • Guide customers through technical evaluations, demos, workshops, prototypes, and proofs of value, so they trust both the solution and the route to production.
  • Help customers handle the security, compliance, governance, and deployment requirements that shape AI adoption in the public sector.
  • Keep a focused use-case portfolio with decision criteria, owners, blockers, success measures, delivery needs, and adoption plans.
  • Build trusted relationships and technical champions among CIOs, CTOs, CISOs, Chief Data and AI Officers, program leaders, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Bring in and coordinate Deployment Engineering, implementation, training, security, product, domain specialists, partners, and other delivery teams. Once they are engaged, make sure they own implementation.
  • Track adoption, usage, account health, production readiness, and mission impact. Step in early when risks threaten the value of the work.
  • Use public sector and mission knowledge to spot repeatable patterns, sharpen customer priorities, and find expansion opportunities.
  • Pass customer insights to Product, Engineering, and Research, turning field learning into better products, architecture guidance, and reusable practices.

Requirements

  • You have significant experience in customer-facing technical roles such as solutions architecture, solutions engineering, technical account leadership, AI deployment, or technical customer success.
  • You have taken complex organizations from technical evaluation to production adoption and measurable impact.
  • You have worked with government agencies, public institutions, or government contractors, and understand how mission, security, compliance, governance, and procurement shape technology adoption.
  • You earn credibility with senior technical and government leaders and communicate just as well with hands-on engineers and program teams.
  • You have strong software and cloud architecture foundations, including APIs, distributed systems, data integration, identity, security, and privacy.
  • You understand modern AI systems, frontier models, agentic applications, model evaluation, retrieval, and enterprise AI workflows.
  • You can prototype, explain technical trade-offs, and work confidently with APIs, SDKs, and languages such as Python or JavaScript.
  • You judge well when to go deep yourself and when to bring in specialists, and you set clear handoffs and ownership.
  • You have built technical account plans, prioritized complex customer portfolios, and tied adoption to measurable outcomes.
  • You have meaningful expertise in a relevant public sector mission or customer segment.
  • You communicate clearly and can turn ambiguity into a technical narrative, an executive decision, or an action plan.
  • You work well across disciplines and care about helping public sector organizations deploy advanced AI safely and responsibly.
