You will set the experience for a whole digital portfolio of cloud-native building software, and you will still do hands-on design yourself.
You will lead the UX and design team that shapes the next generation of these products. You will work with customers, Product Management, AI and Engineering to turn complicated building problems into clear, connected experiences, and you will influence how new and existing products work for their users, not only how they look.
The team focuses on experiences that users value, keep using, and that support business growth.
Before applying, explore the portfolio to learn what it covers and which customer problems you could help solve.
Responsibilities
Set the UX vision and roadmap for the whole portfolio, linking customer needs to product and business goals.
Lead, coach and grow a UX and UI team, setting clear priorities and high design standards.
Work hands-on with the team on concepts, from early exploration through detailed interaction and interface design.
Turn ideas into user flows, wireframes, journey maps and prototypes, and help the team compare options to decide well.
Work with customers, Product Management, AI and Engineering to test assumptions and improve solutions.
Create and maintain shared design patterns and a scalable design system so the portfolio feels consistent.
Build research, customer feedback and usability testing into development, and measure results through usability, adoption and customer outcomes.
Turn complex requirements into clear journeys, interfaces and prototypes by designing alongside the team.
Stay in regular contact with customers so the products meet their needs.
Use current AI tools, such as Claude and Figma AI, to build UIs and workflows quickly.
Test ideas fast and refine designs using customer feedback and product usage data.
Align Product, Engineering, AI and global stakeholders on one UX direction, weighing user needs, technical limits and business priorities.
Connect new and existing products through shared patterns that improve accessibility, usability and consistency.
Work closely and repeatedly with Engineering to understand technical limits and what is feasible.
Requirements
At least 10 years in UX or product design, with a portfolio showing your work on complex software and the results it delivered.
Strong design craft: you turn unclear problems into intuitive journeys and strong interfaces, explore options quickly, and explain your choices.
At least 3 years leading a team of UX and design professionals.
Proven experience working directly with customers on new user experiences, and communicating with everyone from Engineering to Product, AI and CxO-level leaders.
Clear understanding of how UX affects revenue and retention, and the ability to justify design investment with metrics.
Background in browser-based and mobile SaaS products and data-rich applications, whether B2B, B2C or B2B2C.
Proven hands-on experience using AI tools to generate designs and user experiences.
Thorough knowledge of current standards and rules, such as WCAG, along with AI-generated UIs and content, accessibility conformance reporting and inclusive design.
Comfortable collaborating with teams across Asia, Europe and the Americas, across multiple time zones.
Preferred: familiarity with global product environments, smart buildings, energy management or workplace experience. Smart building experience is not essential, and transferable skills from other digital environments are welcome.
In the interview, show your hands-on design work. Explain how you explored ideas, how you contributed within a team, and how you used customer feedback and stakeholder input to shape the final experience.
We want to see your design craft and how you help a team deliver, not only project coordination or stakeholder influence.
Conditions
Work with a global team spread across multiple time zones in Asia, Europe and the Americas.
Benefits
Access to tools and room to push the craft and help define new cloud-native products and a connected experience across the portfolio.
Work with customers, designers and engineers on the purpose of making complex building operations simpler.
You get the reach of a large parent company alongside the creative challenge of a product transformation, and you stay close to design while helping customers run buildings more efficiently and sustainably.
