The Prudential Long Term Care team is hiring a Senior Experience Designer to help shape, improve and grow PrudentialPeak, a well-being and longevity portal for policyholders and their families.
The role sits within the business team and acts as both UX and product design lead and strategic partner. You will turn customer needs, business priorities and input from several functions into clear, accessible and engaging digital experiences.
You will work with marketing, product, technology, operations, data and compliance to deliver more personalised features, stronger capabilities and deeper engagement. You will help connect customer insight, business goals and design decisions across the whole experience.
You will bring experience architecture, product strategy and human-centred design skills to improve the end-to-end journey, extend the site to other Prudential products, and explore ways to serve more customer groups. The work is fast-moving and often ambiguous, so you will need to frame problems, influence decisions across teams and keep work moving.
Responsibilities
Turn customer needs, behavioural insights, business priorities and operational limits into practical design recommendations.
Build information architecture, experience flows, prototypes and digital touchpoints that deliver measurable customer and business results.
Spot patterns across customer journeys, service interactions and stakeholder needs, and use them to propose new products, experience fixes and roadmap priorities.
Use human-centred methods to define problems, generate ideas, test assumptions and refine solutions for key moments in the journey.
Produce wireframes, concepts and interactive prototypes quickly, guided by user stories and journeys.
Work alongside developers, marketing partners, product owners and business experts to design solutions that can be built.
Write evidence-based recommendations that set out the customer need, business case, expected impact and delivery implications.
Explain design choices using customer insight, usability and accessibility standards, business objectives and industry practice.
Plan and run collaborative sessions that help cross-functional teams agree on problems, priorities, concepts and decisions.
Review existing experiences to find friction, root causes, accessibility gaps, unmet needs and chances for measurable improvement.
Requirements
At least 6 years in product design, UX or a similar design role, with a portfolio showing end-to-end digital product thinking, interaction design, user-centred problem solving and measurable impact.
Experience in an agency or corporate setting, ideally on a consumer product in financial services, insurance or a related sector.
Strong hands-on skill in research and usability testing, information architecture and site mapping, journey mapping, user flows, wireframing, prototyping, visual interface design and workshop facilitation.
Experience working across several business units and functions to reframe complex business problems as customer and experience problems, and to find workable routes forward.
Ability to work both with others and on your own in a fast-moving cross-functional setting, spotting needs, defining next steps and driving work with little direction.
Good command of information architecture, taxonomy, content strategy, plain language and accessibility.
Experience working in lean or agile teams.
Basic knowledge of front-end development and how to support its integration.
Skill in turning design outputs, research findings and expected outcomes into clear written stories, presentations and decision materials for stakeholders and leaders from varied backgrounds.
