Working Student (f/m/d) - SAP HANA Cloud Tooling UX

Description

The SAP HANA Cloud UX team is a small, diverse, distributed group of product and content designers who work closely across locations. You will join them to support the UX work on the SAP HANA Cloud tooling.

The team says it does not hand off work. You will help shape real product experiences from start to finish, working with product managers and engineers.

This is a working student role in Walldorf for students at a university or university of applied sciences studying User Experience Design, Interaction Design, Interface Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Media Informatics or a related field such as Communication Design. Preferred fields of study are listed as such in the posting.

Skills wanted: Figma, Claude Code and other AI tools; English at a proficient level, written and spoken; good communication and collaboration; cultural awareness; proactiveness and initiative; a doer mentality. Curiosity and willingness to ask questions are valued.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end user journeys, interaction flows, wireframes and interactive prototypes, using AI tools to work faster and save your effort for decisions that need human judgment.
• Help with conversational AI and agentic UX, an active area of enterprise design.
• Support user research and usability testing, analyse the findings and turn them into concrete design changes.
• Work closely with product managers and engineers.
• Support the UX team across the full design process.

Requirements

• Be enrolled as a student at a university or university of applied sciences in a preferred field of study listed above.
• Be proficient in Figma, Claude Code and other AI tools.
• Speak and write English proficiently.
• Show good communication and collaboration skills, cultural awareness, initiative and a doer mentality.
• Application documents: cover letter, resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current transcript of records, copies of any degrees already earned, and references from former employers including internships if available.
• Describe your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer or programming languages in your application.

Conditions

Work from the Walldorf office 1 to 2 days per week.

Working student position with a paid contract.
