Description

The company makes an AI marketing platform used by 15% of the Fortune 500, including Comcast, Estée Lauder, and Walmart, plus fast-growing firms such as Ramp, MongoDB, and Figma. Marketing teams run research, briefs, content, campaigns, and reporting there, with agents handling much of the routine work.

The platform is built on over 2B real user prompts and keeps growing. It shows what people ask AI and how models respond. The AI Marketer combines that data with detailed context about customers to surface worthwhile opportunities, then runs agents that automate reporting, draft content, check pages for readability, and carry out competitive research. It tracks what works and improves daily.

The company is creating a new kind of software, and design will shape what that experience becomes. The company is hiring a Head of Design to lead and grow the design team, set the direction for an AI-native product, and keep every release at a very high standard. The role reports directly to the CTO and works closely with the founders and leadership team, with real ownership over what gets built, not only how it looks.

Responsibilities

  • Define the long-term direction for the product experience and a consistent design language across the platform, and make complex workflows easier to understand.
  • Work with the founders and product and engineering leads on what to build, why, and how. Design shapes product decisions rather than carrying them out.
  • Develop the existing designers, recruit the next ones, and build a team that holds high standards, takes ownership, and gives honest critique as it grows.
  • Stay hands-on with product judgment, visual and interaction design, and exploration. Question assumptions and push the team toward work that is both attractive and highly functional.
  • Design new interaction patterns for software that acts on a user's behalf, combining agents, complex data, and human judgment in intuitive ways.
  • Create the principles, systems, and routines that let the team prototype, learn from customers, and ship fast without sacrificing quality.
  • Use research, product instinct, and data to confirm that what gets built solves real problems and helps marketers do their jobs better.

Requirements

  • You have led product design at a fast-growing technology company, where you set vision, built teams, and shaped product direction across the company.
  • You have strong taste and a portfolio of shipped products with excellent execution. You know how to raise others to that level.
  • You have hired and grown strong designers, and you have raised the quality of a team you inherited, not only one you assembled yourself.
  • You treat design and product strategy as one discipline. You handle ambiguity, identify the right problems, and persuade founders, executives, and engineers.
  • You have designed complex software, ideally B2B platforms, analytics, data visualization, or intricate workflows, and you can make powerful products feel simple.
  • You work hands-on. You can present a long-term vision, coach a designer through a difficult problem, or open Figma or code to prototype an idea yourself.
  • You are excited by AI, test new tools regularly, and hold clear views on how AI will change both products and the practice of design.
