Description

The company is a global specialty HIV business and the only one that is 100% dedicated to researching and delivering new medicines for people living with HIV or at risk of it.

It has spent 30 years improving outcomes for people with HIV and holds the largest portfolio of HIV medicines available anywhere. Its goal is to bring the 40 million people living with HIV down to zero.

It started in 2009 as a partnership between two drugmakers, with a third joining in 2012, and it is now assessing new ways to treat and prevent HIV.

This role sits on the HIV Treatment brand leadership team and leads a highly visible U.S. launch of one of the company's top strategic priorities, a long-acting HIV treatment. You will work with Field Commercial, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Insights & Analytics, and Global and Regional Marketing to set strategy and carry it through the full launch.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the full U.S. commercial strategy and launch of the company's next-generation long-acting HIV treatment, a top innovation and growth priority.
  • Act as U.S. launch lead and shape the long-term brand strategy with HCP, Patient, Digital, Strategy, and Commercial leaders.
  • Build the U.S. launch strategy with Global teams, covering brand positioning, customer strategy, messaging, value proposition, and HCP campaigns.
  • Manage the agency relationship, pushing for top-tier creative, campaign delivery, and innovation while deploying marketing spend efficiently.
  • Keep Commercial, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Communications, Insights & Analytics, and Implementation teams aligned on priorities, milestones, risks, and resource needs for launch readiness.
  • Work with Field Commercial and Sales Operations to bring field insight into strategy and improve customer engagement, promotion, and execution before and after launch.
  • Lead financial planning and investment decisions, including resource allocation, forecasts, ROI assessment, and performance measurement, to maximize launch impact.
  • Build external engagement with people living with HIV, patient advocates, healthcare professionals, and key opinion leaders to shape the launch and make it more relevant to customers.
  • Create launch practices, capabilities, and frameworks that the HIV Treatment portfolio and future innovation launches can reuse.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of commercial marketing experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology organizations, including 3+ years of people management.
  • Commercial experience leading a launch or growth phase for pharmaceutical brands.
  • Proven record of working across Medical, Regulatory, and Market Access teams.
  • Ability to use data and insights to guide strategic marketing decisions.
  • Skills in Data to Insights, Digital Fluency, Marketing Campaign Planning, Marketing Measurement, Marketing Strategy Implementation, Omnichannel Marketing, and Scientific Literacy.
  • Preferred: advanced degree, such as an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
  • Preferred: expertise in the U.S. pharmaceutical commercial environment.
  • Preferred: experience with implementation models such as specialty pharmacy, buy-and-bill, or site-of-care complexity.
  • Preferred: sales experience with a clear understanding of field execution.
  • Preferred: broad commercial experience, such as market access, strategy, or operations.
  • Preferred: experience in HIV treatment and/or long-acting therapies in the U.S. market.
  • Preferred: demonstrated use of AI or advanced analytics to drive commercial decisions.
  • Preferred: comfort working in a hybrid model with regular in-person collaboration.
