Description

The Design System team at the company builds and grows brand and UI assets for the customer-facing design system across app and web. The role shapes a shared visual language that keeps the brand recognisable while helping product teams ship polished experiences quickly and consistently.

The role suits someone who combines strong UI craft with systems thinking. You see a design system as more than components and documentation: it is the base that keeps quality and brand character consistent across every digital touchpoint.

You work where brand, design and technology meet, turning design principles and brand identity into scalable foundations, tokens, components and guidelines that function across iOS, Android and web. You notice visual detail, know what makes a digital experience stand out, and balance aesthetic quality with platform-specific best practice.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of the design system foundations, brand assets, visual language and component library for app and web.
  • Turn brand identity into scalable foundations, guidelines and reusable patterns.
  • Keep iOS, Android and web visually coherent while respecting each platform's conventions.
  • Define and refine design tokens, typography, spacing, colour and interaction principles.
  • Work closely with designers, engineers and product teams so the system is implemented and adopted consistently.
  • Advise product teams on visual quality, UI patterns and brand alignment.
  • Promote accessibility and build inclusive design into the system foundations.
  • Run design reviews, workshops and discussions that align a large product organisation.
  • Follow emerging design, fashion, digital and consumer experience trends and suggest ways to evolve the system.
  • Help with design system governance, documentation and community engagement across the organisation.
  • The role is based in Stockholm, Sweden, and requires onsite work at least 4 days per week.
  • Relocation support is not provided for international moves.

Requirements

  • Experience designing and evolving design systems for large digital products.
  • Strong UI and visual design skills, shown in a portfolio that displays attention to detail and craft.
  • Solid understanding of cross-platform design for iOS, Android and web, including their native patterns.
  • Proven ability to turn brand principles and visual identities into scalable digital systems.
  • Expertise in typography, colour, spacing, layout and visual hierarchy.
  • Experience defining and implementing design tokens and system foundations.
  • Strong grasp of accessibility and inclusive design, including WCAG guidelines.
  • Experience working closely with engineers and understanding how designs are implemented.
  • Experience influencing and aligning several stakeholders in a matrix organisation.
  • Proven experience using Figma and modern design system tooling.
  • Candidates with an agency or industry background are considered.
  • Extra consideration for candidates with experience in premium consumer or fashion brands in e-commerce.
  • Extra consideration for candidates who have built and scaled design systems across mobile and web.
  • Extra consideration for candidates who have defined design principles, governance models or contribution frameworks.
  • Extra consideration for candidates who have worked in large international product organisations.
  • You care deeply about visual quality and design excellence.
  • You are curious about trends in fashion, digital design and consumer behaviour.
  • You spot the small details that take an experience from good to exceptional.
  • You can balance creativity, brand expression and system scalability.
  • You are collaborative and generous, and you raise the quality of the work around you.
  • You give design direction confidently while building trust and alignment across teams.
  • You thrive on bringing clarity and consistency to complex environments.
  • You are driven by customer value, craftsmanship and continuous improvement.
  • Submit your CV in English with your portfolio. A cover letter is not needed.
