Description

This is a permanent graduate role with 2 years of structured, hands-on learning, starting in September 2027.

Applications close at midnight on 29 November 2026 and may close earlier, so apply early.

The company designs AI compute, from chips and software through to full systems at datacentre scale, for customers at the leading edge of AI.

You will work alongside people from many backgrounds, including AI researchers, chip designers and software engineers, and learn from each other.

Infrastructure Solutions covers on-premise systems, cloud, networking, automation and security, and builds and runs the IT that engineering staff depend on.

The team makes decisions based on evidence, service impact and practical trade-offs, and you are encouraged to question existing methods and propose improvements.

Martinus and Peter will mentor you on your skills, confidence and next career steps.

Selected candidates complete a technical assessment, then in-person assessments in early spring. Outcomes are shared by early December at the latest.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day infrastructure operations across servers, storage, networking, cloud platforms, automation and monitoring.
  • Investigate technical issues and work out their causes.
  • Contribute to projects that make systems more reliable, faster and more secure.
  • Learn how these systems support AI engineering at scale, building practical Linux, Windows, scripting and infrastructure as code skills.
  • Rotate through IS teams such as Cloud and Application Security, Cybersecurity Operations, Networking and Data Centre Operations, among others.
  • Take ownership of well-scoped improvement work early, with support as your knowledge grows.
  • Use scripting, automation and infrastructure as code to improve how infrastructure is managed.
  • Weigh reliability, performance and security trade-offs, and explain how infrastructure decisions affect the teams that rely on these services.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Machine Learning, Data Science or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Linux or Windows server environments.
  • An understanding of networking basics such as TCP/IP, DNS, routing and firewalls.
  • Introductory scripting experience in Python, Bash or PowerShell.
  • An interest in infrastructure, cloud, systems engineering or platform operations, and motivation to learn by solving practical problems.
  • Evidence of that interest from coursework, a dissertation, personal or team projects, internships, hobbies or other experience, with a description of what you built or investigated, how you approached it and what you learned.

Conditions

Permanent position starting in September 2027.

You must already have the right to work in the UK for the full length of the programme. Visa sponsorship is not offered for early careers roles.
