Fullstack Software Engineer

Description

The company is a small product engineering team that builds software for healthcare providers and patients. The role gives you ownership of core platform systems and end-to-end product work, aimed at making complex clinical and business workflows more reliable and efficient.

Responsibilities

• Build AI-supported workflows covering clinical notes, treatment plans, reassessments, and administrative tasks.
• Create systems for healthcare authorizations, billing, claim decisions, and reimbursing providers.
• Develop tools for provider operations such as credentialing, contracts, compliance, payroll, scheduling, and staffing.
• Design patient and family experiences for onboarding, booking, messaging, progress tracking, and payments.
• Automate operational work across billing, authorizations, credentialing, and care coordination.
• Take ownership of platform foundations: data models, APIs, security, reliability, and production systems.

Requirements

• Four to ten years of fullstack software engineering work, including full-time product engineering at a startup.
• Strong Python skills and experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Firebase.
• Track record of making architecture and system design decisions and of owning a product from data model to user interface.
• Experience in healthtech, fintech, insurance, or another complex operational field where accuracy and data integrity are critical.
• A bachelor's degree and solid grounding in computer science fundamentals.
• Careful attention to detail and current work authorization that does not require employer visa sponsorship.

Conditions

Base salary of $160,000 to $200,000 per year. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Hybrid work based in San Francisco, California, or New York City.
