Full Stack Software Engineer

The team brings together engineers, scientists, designers, product managers, operations specialists, and customer service and business staff, all working toward the same purpose.

You would join the AI Software Team, which covers the company's whole global software infrastructure: e-commerce frontend and backend, connected device app integrations, enterprise application integrations, third-party logistics integrations, access controls and regulatory compliance, customer service, and other supported systems.

Responsibilities

• Ship assigned work to production and own it from development through release.
• Investigate and resolve production issues promptly.
• Attend the team's regular meetings to share progress and keep assigned work and team planning clear.
• Learn Ruby, Rails, TypeScript, and NextJS as needed to contribute fully.
• Work with the development lead, other software engineers, and product managers to deliver assigned work and help shape the product roadmap.

Requirements

• A habit of continuous improvement.
• A track record of shipping complex components and web applications.
• Experience designing and building APIs.
• Deep understanding of web application reliability, performance, scalability, and error handling.
• Experience leading or mentoring engineers.
• Expert knowledge of, or willingness to learn, the following: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; React and NextJS; Ruby on Rails; Postgres; Redis; Docker; AWS with Terraform or Pulumi; and Vercel.
• Preferred: at least 3 years of experience.
• A bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, or equivalent experience in web application development.

Conditions

Pay is set by role, level, and location, and depends on the local cost of labor and other factors. Ranges may change at any time.

Salary range: $127,000 - $159,000 USD.
