Full Stack Developer

Description

The company serves the US federal government, with more than 13,000 people working on clients' missions in defense, national security, public safety, civilian, and military health.

The company is a technology firm within a larger global organization and is hiring into an agile software development team.

The team handles software development and operations and maintenance (O&M) support, and follows agile practice with scrum ceremonies.

The role centers on building back-end APIs in Java and Spring Boot, secure and responsive front ends in React, and optimized PostgreSQL schemas and queries.

The company needs someone who communicates clearly, both in speech and in writing, and who has taken enterprise applications from concept to deployment at large scale.

Responsibilities

• Support full-stack design and development with Java, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Boot, React, and PostgreSQL.
• Build modern, reusable React UI components in TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Design normalized PostgreSQL schemas and entity relationships that scale with the system.
• Build and maintain secure RESTful APIs for data access and integration.
• Document data migrations and make sure data stays intact and consistent between legacy and new systems.
• Plan and carry out deployments, manage version control, and run CI/CD pipelines.
• Help across every stage of the development lifecycle.
• Make sure work meets 508 accessibility standards, enterprise security practices, and any other required practices.

Requirements

• You must have strong UI design and development skills with React, JavaScript, and CSS.
• You must have strong development experience with Java, Spring Framework and Spring Security 6+, Spring Boot 3+, Hibernate 6+, SQL and PL/SQL, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, the Maven build tool, and Git or GitLab.
• You must have experience designing databases and migrating data.
• You also have experience with AWS (S3, EC2, ECS, Aurora, CloudWatch), Keycloak, Kubernetes, Maven, and Docker.
• You have worked with Agile, Scrum, and Kanban, and with Atlassian tools including Jira and Confluence.
• You have experience with CI/CD tools and automation.
• You think analytically and conceptually.
• You document well and bring strong planning, organization, and time management skills.
• You work independently, take initiative, and help the team grow.
• You have at least 7 years of experience and a bachelor's degree.
• You hold an active Top Secret clearance and are willing to work onsite in Washington, DC.
• You are a US citizen.

The role is onsite in Washington, DC.

An active Top Secret clearance is required.

US citizenship is required.

The base pay range for this role is $106,300 - $206,200 USD in the states of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia.

Pay depends on office location, role, skill set, and experience.
