Fire Alarm Designer - REMOTE

Description

The role creates fire alarm design drawings and tracks submittals and approvals. You report to the Electronic Design Manager.

You work as a team player supporting the sales team, technicians, CAD drafters and project managers across the full delivery cycle. You need to grasp customer needs to guide daily decisions, and you sometimes act on changes to what customers require.

Responsibilities

• Produce fire alarm design drawings.
• Track submittals and approvals.
• Provide technical support to sales, technicians, CAD drafters and project managers through delivery.
• Understand customer needs to guide day-to-day decisions.
• Occasionally act on changes to customer requirements.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of fire alarm design experience.
• Demonstrated drafting and CAD skills, plus strong computer skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Strong attention to detail.
• NICET certification is preferred.
• A basic understanding of how mechanical systems interface with fire alarm systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of several electronic building systems is a plus.

Conditions

The role is remote.

Salary range: $78,200 to $100,000. Pay depends on education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, internal equity and market data.
