Experienced Guidance Navigation & Control Engineer

The engineering center in Gdansk, Poland is hiring an experienced Guidance Navigation & Control Engineer.

The team works on complex systems, from early concept work through to introducing a new product.

Responsibilities

• Write system requirements that shape the system design, and manage those requirements in DOORS.
• Carry out design validation and verification, and record and solve technical problems found during testing and integration.
• Work with cross-functional teams to define, document and manage system interfaces.
• Write system design documentation.
• Run root cause analysis and decide dispositions for complex design non-conformances.
• Investigate technical, operational and quality problems that appear in service.
• Take part in product development from the concept phase to the release of the new product.
• Assess possible safety issues linked to Autoflight systems.

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor of Science from an accredited program in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science or computer science.
• Have experience in systems engineering and in technical fields related to flight control.
• Have at least 3 years of design experience with Autoflight systems, and understand how Autoflight systems operate.
• Know systems design concepts and techniques.
• Have Upper-Intermediate English, both written and spoken. This is a must.
• Preferred: 5 years of design experience with Autoflight systems.
• Preferred: Be able to analyse Autoflight systems using guidance, navigation and control theory, standard analysis techniques, and how these apply to aircraft.
• Preferred: Know the government laws and regulations that affect the job's functional duties.
• Preferred: Have experience with Matlab/Simulink.
• Preferred: Understand product safety.

Conditions

Successful candidates must pass the company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment.

The role is not contingent upon program award.

This is not a shift position in Poland.

Pay depends on your experience and qualifications, as well as market and business conditions. The figures shown are only a general guide.
