The team handles end-to-end system design and integration across the whole product development lifecycle.

You will work in an international, multidisciplinary setting with engineering disciplines, suppliers, customers and programme stakeholders.

You will support the full systems engineering V-cycle, from feasibility studies and requirements capture through system definition, integration, verification, validation, qualification and final certification.

You will work closely with suppliers and with Production, Services, Procurement and Technical Publications, and support integration and testing when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design and integration work on the Audio/Voice Communication System for Eurodrone.
  • Support feasibility studies for new products and user needs, capture high-level requirements and allocate them to the Communication & Avionics System.
  • Write and validate system and equipment specifications using Requirement Based Engineering (RBE) and/or Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), keeping requirements traceable across the V-cycle and producing the design documentation.
  • Manage technical interfaces with suppliers and customers, and take part in internal, supplier and customer design reviews and programme milestones.
  • Define and support integration, verification and validation, prepare test requirements for laboratory, ground and flight tests, and issue test analysis and correlation reports afterwards.

  • Give technical support across the product lifecycle to Production, Services, Procurement and Technical Publications (AFM, FCOM, etc.), and support integration and testing at the Final Assembly Line (FAL) when needed.
  • You may be asked to travel on business, mainly within Spain and Europe, up to about 10% of the time.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree or an equivalent technical background, ideally in Telecommunications, Aeronautical, Industrial, Electronics or a related field.
  • A Master’s in Systems Engineering (e.g. MASI or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Professional experience in systems engineering, system design and/or systems integration, ideally in aeronautical, defence or military aircraft.
  • Experience with Audio/Voice Communication Systems, full-chain Communication Systems and/or COMSEC is highly valued.
  • Solid knowledge of the full systems engineering lifecycle and V-model, including requirements definition and allocation, system design, software specification, integration, verification and validation, qualification, airworthiness and certification.
  • Experience with RBE, MBSE and requirements management.
  • Knowledge of tools such as DOORS, CAMEO, ICDMS, CWE, MATLAB/Simulink and Stateflow, or equivalent systems engineering environments, is valued.
  • Knowledge of Agile methods and tools such as SCRUM, Jira, Confluence and DeMAT is an asset.
  • Strong English, spoken and written, at B2/C1 or equivalent, to work with international suppliers, customers and stakeholders.
  • Teamwork, interpersonal skills, problem-solving, decision-making, a collaborative mindset, patience and adaptability.
  • An open, proactive attitude to new technical challenges and the ability to work within a complex international programme.
  • Nice to have: experience on the Eurodrone programme or other complex military aircraft programmes; knowledge of the company Defence & Space Design Procedures; experience in modification and certification processes; previous CVE experience in any discipline; digitalisation skills applied to system design; experience with Plateau ways of working.
