Entry Level C# Software Engineer

Description

The company builds software tools that help keep aircraft safe and operational, and this entry-level C# software engineer role is full time.

The work supports Navy F/A-18 fleet readiness by improving maintenance detection software and anomaly detection algorithms.

The team is cross-functional and Agile, and the role requires a Secret clearance to start.

Responsibilities

• Design and build full-stack applications that detect and report aircraft maintenance issues.
• Create responsive, easy-to-use front-end interfaces and help with back-end integration and API development so the system works end to end.
• Join stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives with a cross-functional Agile team to deliver high-quality solutions on schedule.
• Build dependable C# back-end services that handle large datasets.
• Test and debug software throughout development to confirm it works reliably and performs well, and fix problems as they appear.
• Write clean, efficient, scalable code that follows best practices and coding standards so it stays easy to maintain over time.

Requirements

• Required: a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• Required: experience with C#,.NET, and Python.
• Required: 0-3 years of job experience.
• Required: live in the greater Virginia Beach area.
• Required: strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both alone and as part of a team.
• Required: excellent communication skills and close attention to detail.
• Required: US citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Desired: an active DoD Secret clearance.
• Desired: experience with Oracle databases, Linux, and SQL.
• Desired: a CompTIA Security+ certification.

Conditions

Full-time, regular position.

Travel of up to 10% is required, local only, to NAVAIR Oceana for software deployment and troubleshooting.

A Secret clearance is required to start.

The proposed salary range is $58,000-$115,900.

Final pay depends on factors such as location, Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, prior experience, specific skills, education, and certifications.
