Own integration and automation work from discovery and architecture through build, testing, release, and ongoing tuning.
Assess options across Workday and the wider enterprise stack, weighing business value, user experience, scale, upkeep, security, speed, and cost.
Build complex integrations with Workday Studio, Orchestrate, EIBs, Connectors, Reports-as-a-Service (RaaS), Workday Web Services, and REST APIs.
Create custom apps, APIs, and automations with Workday Extend and languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, XML, XSLT, SOAP, and REST.
Act as the go-to expert on Workday APIs, explaining what they can and cannot do, along with authentication, security, process dependencies, payload structures, error handling, and best practice.
Use your knowledge of Workday processes, reporting, security, data architecture, and object relationships to design solutions that go beyond standard integrations.
Work with engineering and analytics teams on downstream data models, tables, joins, and transforms that accurately reflect Workday data and support applications and reports.
Lead technical reviews and find ways to simplify architecture, reduce tech debt, use APIs more efficiently, and improve reliability and performance.
Build monitoring, logging, error handling, and alerts so solutions stay visible, maintainable, and resilient.
Plan and run testing across unit, integration, regression, and user acceptance, checking edge cases and downstream effects.
Investigate complex failures, find root causes, and fix them so they do not come back.
Run technical delivery by managing dependencies, coordinating stakeholders, flagging risks and tradeoffs, and owning timelines and results.
Explore emerging tools, including AI-assisted development, agentic workflows, MCP, and API-driven designs, to make People Technology smarter and more flexible.
Keep clear technical documentation, design specs, and knowledge sharing that help the team maintain and improve its work.
