Description

This role is onsite, so you will work mainly from a company office.

The company is a global edge-to-cloud business that helps customers connect, protect, analyze and act on their data and applications, from the edge to the cloud.

Engineering programs run longer and span several functions and projects, with complex requirements. Projects are shorter, simpler and have a fixed timeframe.

You will apply intermediate subject matter expertise, work independently within an established framework, and receive moderate supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate several projects within a large program that spans one or more functions, driving how products or service offerings are engineered and delivered.
  • Draft parts of the support requirements for your project, including budgets and resource allocation plans, following the given plan and specifications.
  • Lead the activities of the project teams, track progress against plan, report results, and recommend changes to the program manager.
  • Produce program communications such as status reports and summaries, track escalations and their resolution, arrange stakeholder meetings and updates, and keep project and program plans current.
  • Lead resources across multiple projects.
  • Manage activities, schedules and budgets so that products are completed on time and within budget, and keep cross-company communication flowing.
  • Work with engineering management to find and improve processes and program efficiency.
  • Work with external parties such as standards bodies and partners where needed.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in business management, engineering, computer science, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Typically 2-4 years of experience managing technology-driven programs.
  • Skill with project planning tools and software packages to create, manage and track project results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • An understanding of how the organization develops its products and services.
  • Knowledge of project and program methodology, resource allocation plans, budgets and requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English and the local language.
  • The ability to present manufacturing plans, proposals and results, and to negotiate options.

Conditions

The base salary range in the United States is USD 74,000 to 170,300 a year for roles in Texas.

Offers may fall outside this range depending on location, experience, education, training or skill level.

Variable incentives may be offered in addition to base salary.

The company is an equal opportunity employer that makes decisions based on qualifications, merit and business need, will consider qualified applicants with criminal records as the law requires, and will consider accommodation requests at any stage of hiring.

Benefits

  • Health and wellbeing benefits covering physical, financial and emotional needs, with US benefit details available from the company.
  • Development programs to help you reach career goals, whether that means becoming a subject expert or moving into another division.
