Sign Up to ReadThe company's audiovisual unit owns the full stack behind its video streaming products, from live sports ingest and delivery to the tools that monitor them.
The unit has operated since 2013 and grown into a large streaming platform. It handles live events at a rate above 3.500 per day, millions of streaming sessions, and over 100 TB of video on several days each week, for viewers worldwide.
Sports covered include NBA and WNBA, NHL, MLB, MLS, the German Bundesliga, PGA Tour, ESL CS:GO, PDC, beach volleyball, Badminton Europe and table tennis.
The team builds video players, stream inspection tools, a video processing and delivery platform, analytics backend systems, content management systems, internal web tools and customer portals. Services run 24/7 for large audiences, and engineers work alongside the AV operations team to get content to clients.
This role is in the AV Analytics squad, which covers streaming and BI data. You will work from raw logs through to in-depth analytics and build the backend that turns viewing data into insight. Prototyping, proof-of-concept tools and production software are all part of the work. The Trondheim team works closely with offices in Oslo, Vienna, Munich and Warsaw.
As a senior engineer, you will help design the architecture, build features, run integration tests and handle deployments, and you can influence which technologies go into the product components.
The company is a sports technology business working across sports, media and betting. It serves more than 1,700 federations, media outlets, betting operators and consumer platforms in 120 countries.
Flexible working hours, but the team works from the office five days a week, because in-person contact supports knowledge sharing and collaboration.
The hiring process has five steps: a screening call with a talent acquisition partner, a take-home coding task you complete at your own pace, a 120-minute technical interview on that code, and a 60-minute culture and leadership interview covering people management, delivery, competence development, problem-solving and working in a matrix organization with stakeholders.
