Description

The company's engineering team is expanding fast and needs engineering managers to help it scale.

Engineers here are adaptable problem solvers who ship to production continuously. They count on managers for openness about the organization, career growth, mentoring, and candid feedback. Managers come from varied technical backgrounds and are expected to keep learning while driving the team's technical direction and vision. The teams value inclusion, helpfulness, and a real sense of ownership over what they build.

The Infrastructure group builds the core systems that engineers depend on to create stable, scalable, and efficient services, and it gives developers room to innovate within their own teams. These leadership roles carry high leverage, since their effect spreads across all of Engineering and supports the company's overall stability.

You will lead an engineering group that builds and maintains core infrastructure to improve developer productivity and system reliability. The team runs the environments where developers write and test code, along with simulation systems and tooling. Some of this work is central to the software development lifecycle, while other parts keep production services able to absorb customer demand at peak times such as New Year's Eve, and keep them efficient the rest of the year. You will help set the team's direction, support its growth, and deliver solutions that help engineers across the organization.

Recent team projects include extending the Envoy mesh with staging overrides, gating deploys with automated acceptance tests, and using load testing to keep services reliable during peak events.

  • Partner with the recruiting team to hire strong candidates with diverse backgrounds
