The Research and Development team drives the company's innovation, with significant investment in artificial intelligence to build new solutions and improve existing products and services.

This role leads a close-knit team on AI agent orchestration, building and evolving the AI product that runs multiple agent systems at scale and manages context, authorization and memory.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of AI software engineers working on agent orchestration and multi-agent workflows.
• Stay hands-on with the codebase and carry out technical reviews.
• Test frontier models and the latest evaluation harnesses in real-world settings, and bring into the platform whatever proves effective.
• Set the team's technical priorities with the product teams and the wider AI platform organisation, focusing on outcomes and delivery.
• Work with the Architecture team to keep the platform robust, scalable and observable.
• Shape the evolution of the agentic architecture, including its components, APIs and standards.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of software engineering experience, or in a related field, with strong grounding in system design, quality and modern development practices.
• Hands-on experience building with AI technologies such as models, memory, evaluation harnesses and context management.
• Experience designing and running platforms or services used by other development teams, including API design, developer experience and cross-team dependencies.
• Curiosity and an experimental approach: you prototype quickly, test new ideas and learn from failures.
• Clear communication and collaboration in cross-functional settings, in both Italian and English.
• A growth mindset that treats challenges as chances to develop, and the soft skills to live the company's values.
