This Embedded Software Engineer II role focuses on powertrain electronic control unit software for next-generation electric vehicles, where the software must be highly reliable and safety-critical.

Responsibilities

• Build embedded platform software for powertrain electronic control units, from concept through production.
• Create software on the AUTOSAR architecture and follow its standards.
• Help integrate, debug, and validate embedded software features.
• Track down faults that span hardware and software interfaces.
• Take part in design and code reviews to raise software quality and performance.
• Make platform software more reliable, scalable, and easier to maintain.
• Run design verification and product validation tests.
• Work with engineers from other disciplines throughout the development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Hold a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• Have 2+ years of professional embedded software development experience.
• Program strongly in C and C++.
• Have built and delivered AUTOSAR-compliant software.
• Understand AUTOSAR architecture, stack components, and configuration tools well.
• Read electrical schematics and component datasheets.
• Use on-chip debugging tools.
• Troubleshoot embedded software and hardware problems.
• Have hands-on board bring-up experience.
• Have worked with scripting and test automation tools.
• Preferred: experience developing software for automotive ECUs.
• Preferred: knowledge of powertrain systems and vehicle electronics.
• Preferred: familiarity with software integration, validation, and production release processes in automotive environments.

Conditions

Work on-site 5 days per week.

The salary range is $105,000 - 115,000.

Final pay depends on factors such as location and the candidate's mix of job knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
