Embedded Software Engineer

Description

The company is hiring an Embedded Software Engineer for its Embedded Software Engineering department in Getafe, Madrid, on a permanent basis at professional level.

You will develop and verify software for airborne real-time systems that must meet high integrity standards. The work covers the whole lifecycle of an embedded software product, from writing software requirements to final testing and implementation on the target computer.

Projects include embedded software for the A400M, Tankers and C-295 programmes, among others. You will be expected to lead, make design and architecture decisions, and run a specific project.

Responsibilities

• Work at every level of embedded software development under the applicable software standards: requirements, design, coding, verification, configuration control, documentation release, change management and software quality assurance.
• Work alongside product and program managers, system engineers and the validation team to move software products forward.
• Help plan the scope of team projects.
• Support product owners and project managers in delivering high quality software on schedule.
• Deliver high quality software on time, within cost and to the required quality level.
• Bring new ideas into the department.
• Shape team structures and keep adjusting them to improve agility and efficiency.

Requirements

• A degree in telecommunications, IT, industrial engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong expertise in real-time software.
• Strong expertise in C/C++ and Ada for low-level development.
• Strong expertise in software verification.
• Strong expertise in real-time operating systems such as VxWorks and Linux-RT.
• Experience with design tools (HOOD, Rhapsody), development environments (GNAT Programming Studio, Eclipse) and verification tools (TestStand).
• DO-178B/C software certification.
• High level of English and Spanish.
• Awareness of potential compliance risks and a commitment to acting with integrity.
