Description

The role is based in Boston, MA, USA. Boston is preferred, but remote candidates in the US will be considered.

The company builds large-scale, fault-tolerant quantum computers that use neutral atoms, a modality widely seen as highly promising. It is based in Boston and draws on research from nearby Harvard University and MIT. It runs the world's largest publicly accessible quantum computer, offered through a major public cloud and as on-premises systems.

You will own how the market understands the company's products and progress. The field is full of bold claims and little trust, so your job is to be the opposite of hype: turn real technical results, from error-correction milestones to system capabilities, into positioning, messaging and sales tools that are specific, credible and useful to demanding technical buyers.

You will cover the full portfolio, including the Gemini-class systems, the Aquila analog quantum computer, premium cloud access and on-premises deployments, across three segments: HPC centers, national quantum programs and enterprise innovators. You will report to the Chief Commercial Officer and work daily with product management, quantum scientists and the commercial team.

This role connects the technical roadmap with how the market sees it, so customers can choose the company with confidence.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain messaging frameworks for the systems and services, tailored to HPC centers, national programs and enterprise innovators, and update them as the roadmap moves.
  • Work with scientists, error-correction researchers and product managers to turn technical milestones and publications into market-facing stories that hold up under expert review.
  • Create and keep up the tools sales relies on, including presentations, battlecards, one-pagers, objection guides and proposal content, and measure how well they perform.
  • Track competing quantum modalities and vendors. Keep positioning against superconducting, trapped-ion and photonic approaches clear and honest, and brief internal teams on market changes.
  • Work with product management and communications on launch messaging, web content, webinars, analyst briefings and conference presence.
  • Bring segment and win/loss insights into product and roadmap discussions so customer needs shape what gets built and how it is described.

Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in physics, engineering, computer science or a related technical field.
  • Have 8+ years of B2B product or technical marketing in deep tech, such as quantum computing, HPC, semiconductors, scientific instruments or enterprise infrastructure.
  • Can learn complex technical material quickly and write about it precisely and clearly, favouring specifics over hype.
  • Have built messaging frameworks and sales enablement assets that measurably improved commercial results.
  • Communicate exceptionally well in writing and speaking, and are at ease with PhD-level scientists and executive buyers.
  • Have led cross-functional projects involving product, science, sales and communications.
  • Preferred qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in a technical field or an MBA.
  • Working knowledge of quantum concepts (qubits, error correction, logical qubits, modalities) and the quantum vendor ecosystem.
  • Experience marketing to government programs, national laboratories or HPC centers, including public procurement.
  • Experience supporting analyst relations and speaking at industry events.
  • A portfolio of technical marketing work, such as messaging frameworks, launch materials, white papers or competitive analyses.

Conditions

The approximate base salary range is $200,000 to $245,000.
