Description

About the company

By combining powerful analytics with AI that knows your business, the company helps teams see what’s working, diagnose what’s not, and decide what to build next. Learn more at the company's site .

AI has made it possible to build almost anything. The constraint on great software is no longer engineering capacity, its judgment about what’s actually worth building. Product Managers at the company build products that help customers answer that question, and they dig deep into customer problems to answer it themselves.

The company’s Product Managers operate with high ownership and trust. As a team, we focus on helping every builder, not just the ones with a statistics background, get real answers out of messy product data and make the judgment calls that separate delightful products from bloated ones.

We’re also our own best customer. The team uses the company every day to build the company: testing our own product intuitions against our own data and catching what works and what doesn’t before our users ever see it.

About the Role

As a Director of Product Management for Core Product, you’ll lead a mid-sized team of Product Managers who are responsible for the key revenue-driving surface areas at the company.. You’ll own strategy for this group while developing the people and practices that help the whole team do their best work. You’ll partner closely with product leadership to set direction, raise the bar on product craft, and create leverage across the org.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor and grow a team of Product Managers through coaching, feedback and career development
  • Set product strategy and direction across your area using customer conversations, market insight and the company’s own product data
  • Raise the bar on product craft across the team, including written communication, prioritization, experimentation and storytelling
  • Prioritize ruthlessly across a long list of possible bets, balancing customer impact, business value and team capacity
  • Define and track the metrics that show whether what your team shipped actually worked, and course-correct when it didn’t
  • Align engineering, design, sales, marketing and support around a shared roadmap and set of priorities
  • Tell a clear story about what your team has shipped to internal and external audiences, leading with the customer problem and using customer stories to make the value tangible
  • Stay close to the market and competitive landscape to inform where the company should invest next
  • Partner with product leadership to shape the product function at the company: what it’s responsible for, how it works with other teams, and how it scales over time
  • Help hire and build a high-performing product team
  • We’re Looking For Someone Who Has
  • 7+ years of product management experience
  • Experience managing a team of Product Managers and acting as a player-coach
  • A track record of developing, articulating and executing product strategies that drove measurable business outcomes
  • Experience coaching PMs and building strong product practices and rituals
  • Deep experience doing user research and working with customers to test product hypotheses
  • An ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative signals to drive clarity on what to build
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders and aligning cross-functional teams
  • Experience using AI tools in product management workflows (e.g., competitive research, prototyping)
  • Bonus Points For
  • Experience using the company as an end customer
  • Experience in B2B SaaS, analytics or data products
  • Experience writing production-grade software
  • Experience designing products using tools like Figma, Sketch or Abstract
