Description

The company is a cash flow intelligence platform that helps businesses use cash flow data in how they operate, from approvals and offers to fraud prevention and responsible growth, with strict FCRA compliance.

It serves more than 7,000 businesses, including Chase, HSBC, SoFi, Sallie Mae, Appfolio and Yardi, and its product suite keeps growing.

The rental housing platform is embedded in four of the top five property management software platforms and used by over 7,000 property management companies. It helps operators verify income, determine eligibility and assess risk using bank, payroll and document data that conventional screening misses, so they can fill units sooner and accept more renters who qualify.

This full-time hybrid role centers on creating the market for cash flow underwriting. The goal is for every leasing director, regional manager and asset manager to know the company and why it matters to their portfolio. Operators with access through their software should use it, and those without should request it.

Roughly 75% of your focus goes to company-owned programs and 25% to co-marketing with platform partners.

You report to the Head of Rental Housing and work with a growth team covering partner enablement, events and product marketing, alongside account management and new business. You start as a hands-on individual contributor, with the chance to build a team once the program proves itself.

Responsibilities

  • Set the strategy to move cash flow underwriting from unknown to sought after. Describe the problem in the industry's own terms: qualified renters lost, vacant days and the risk that credit-only screening puts on operators and owners.
  • Develop original research and flagship content, often built on the company's proprietary renter cash flow data. Work with product marketing to produce it and run the campaigns that make each piece a go-to source in the industry.
  • Work with account management and new business to bring in early-adopter operators, then turn their results into stories and proof points that make the category believable.
  • Run campaigns across the full platform, covering income verification, eligibility and cash flow underwriting, and build the company's name in industry media and PR as the authority on fair, compliant screening.
  • Grow a clean, compliant, well-segmented database of property management decision-makers and engage it through email, newsletters and nurture programs.
  • Run high-reach programs with industry media and associations. Decide which rental housing events to attend and what to focus on there, while the events partner leads execution.
  • Build account-based programs for high-value operators and institutional portfolios, including REITs and PE-backed owners, showing that screening policy affects NOI, risk and asset value. Create demand on platforms where the product is not yet available.
  • Co-market with software partners through co-branded research, joint webinars and campaigns aimed at their customers.
  • Follow every program through. Plan follow-up before launch, personally contact interested decision-makers alongside the Head of Rental Housing, report results from awareness to adoption and revenue, and set goals and manage budget.
  • In your first 90 days, learn the products, partners, customers and market, and audit current contacts, content, events and past programs.
  • Ship a quick win using existing assets, such as a campaign built on published cash flow research.
  • Present a 12-month plan with the event calendar and clear goals for awareness, demand, database growth and adoption.
  • Within the first year, run the owned channels on a steady schedule with regular reporting, and measurably grow the database and demand.
  • Help the first early-adopter operators go live on cash flow underwriting and publish their results.
  • Make cash flow underwriting a recognized idea among property management decision-makers, with the company as the name linked to it.
  • Create demand on platforms where the products are available and on platforms where they are not yet.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in B2B marketing, with substantial experience in property management, proptech, multifamily or rental housing. Industry fluency is required.
  • A record of creating a market for a new product or category, getting customers to want something they did not know they needed. This is the most important skill for the role.
  • Experience building a marketable database and running owned programs such as email, content, sponsored programs and events, with measurable results.
  • Follow-through: you work leads and report results before you consider a program finished.
  • An existing network across operators, software platforms, industry media and associations.
  • Strong storytelling and campaign instincts. You can tell which ideas will win industry attention and turn data-driven content into campaigns people read and share.
  • Experience co-marketing with partners in markets where customers buy through platforms.
  • A hands-on builder, comfortable as the first dedicated marketer in a fast-moving business, who ties marketing to adoption and revenue.
