About BoldVoice

BoldVoice (YC S21) is an AI-powered speech coach that helps non-native English speakers improve their pronunciation, clarity, and confidence. The app combines video lessons from Hollywood accent coaches with instant AI feedback as you speak, powered by our proprietary speech ML models. It's been downloaded by 5M+ users globally and featured in Forbes, TechCrunch, Wired, and Business Insider.

We raised a $21M Series A earlier this year led by Matrix Partners, with participation from Flybridge, XFund, and Y Combinator. We're a small, fast-moving team with a mission to help 1 billion people speak English clearly and advance their careers.

Responsibilities

  • We're hiring a User Acquisition Manager to run our paid acquisition channels day to day. You'll own a six-figure monthly budget across Meta, Google, TikTok, and Apple Search Ads, and you'll be the person who knows exactly what's happening in every account at any moment.
  • You'll work directly with our founders on a small team where you see the impact of your work in the numbers within days.
  • We're not looking for someone who has managed a team of media buyers. We're looking for someone who has been hands-on in the accounts, recently, for apps or subscription products, and who treats a campaign like a system to be tuned rather than a dashboard to be watched.
  • Own Meta, Google, TikTok, and Apple Search Ads end to end: campaign structure, audiences, bidding, budgets, and creative rotation
  • Run structured creative testing so we learn fast which concepts, hooks, and formats win, and feed those learnings back to the creative team
  • Report weekly on CAC, ROAS, and trial-to-paid by channel and country, and explain what moved and why
  • Keep our tracking honest: AppsFlyer, Meta CAPI, and the attribution edge cases that make app marketing hard
  • Test new channels and geos with small budgets, and scale the ones that clear our targets
  • Build the reporting and processes that let the channels run without a founder babysitting them
  • Who we're looking for
  • 2 to 5 years running paid acquisition hands-on, at a performance agency, a mobile gaming or subscription app, or a DTC brand
  • You've personally managed Meta campaigns for app or subscription clients in the last 12 months and know the current state of the platform, not the 2022 version
  • You're comfortable in the data: you can pull it, build the analysis, and tell us what to do next
  • You've worked with mobile attribution (AppsFlyer, Adjust, or Branch) and understand its limits
  • You have a founder mentality: you look for what will grow the business, not just what's in your job description
  • Experience with Google App Campaigns, TikTok Ads, or Apple Search Ads is a plus
  • NYC, in office 4-5 days per week
