Description

The company runs a digital sports platform covering licensed fan gear, trading cards and collectibles, and betting, serving a database of over 100 million sports fans and a partner network of roughly 900 sports properties, with more than 2,000 retail locations.

The gift card business sells over 200 gift cards through tens of thousands of ecommerce and physical stores in more than 10 countries, for gifting, self-rewards and business use. Growing it is a company priority.

The gift card team works like a fast-moving internal unit, combining startup agility with the infrastructure of a large sports platform. The team is cross-functional and aims to turn the business into a high-growth global acquisition engine.

The role leads the day-to-day operations team and the gift card program across marketing, third-party partnerships and internal business channels. It is a cross-functional leadership role covering omnichannel marketing, distribution and financial partnerships, and program operations in both the US and international markets. The role manages two full-time employees and two contractors, with planned team growth.

Responsibilities

  • Run end-to-end program management, including design and creative workflows, timelines and day-to-day operations so the program runs efficiently.
  • Manage internal account relationships across B2B, brick-and-mortar and events, aligning them with overall program goals and finding cross-sell opportunities.
  • Oversee domestic and international program operations and support their growth.
  • Lead day-to-day program work on technology and operations modernization for the gift card business.
  • Hire, develop and lead a growing group of employees and contractors, building a high-performing, collaborative team.
  • Own the main relationship with each external distribution and operations partner, including gift card processors, third-party vendors, retail distribution platforms and printers.
  • Manage each external partnership from start to finish: day-to-day account work, performance reviews, issue resolution and cross-sell initiatives, with a focus on business development with distribution partners.
  • Find and pursue new external partners to widen gift card distribution and grow incremental revenue.
  • Lead omnichannel marketing across third-party platforms, owned channels, social, paid social, paid search, B2B, athlete relations, influencer marketing, affiliates and sponsorships, with a focus on performance marketing.
  • Own the annual marketing strategy and planning, including budget allocation, campaign execution, performance tracking and reporting across all channels.
  • Build and manage relationships with media partners, agencies and platform vendors to improve channel performance and return on investment.

Requirements

  • You have 8 to 12 years of progressive gift card experience, including advanced technical knowledge of operations, setup, architecture, data and reporting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • You have led integrated omnichannel marketing campaigns across paid, owned and earned channels, and you understand performance marketing well.
  • You know the gift card ecosystem well and have contacts across third-party retail and digital distribution, corporate B2B programs, processors and printers.
  • You have a proven record of managing strategic partnerships with financial institutions, retail distributors or digital platforms, and delivering cross-sell and business development results with them.
  • You are a strong people manager who has built and developed high-performing teams.
  • You are well organized and manage projects well, handling several workstreams at once, including design and creative workflows.
  • You are analytical and comfortable with performance tracking, reporting and budget management across multiple channels.
  • You take ownership, work hard and are curious enough to find and pursue opportunities beyond what is asked.
  • You are a collaborative, relationship-driven leader who works well with ambiguity, balances competing priorities and mixes strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • You have a passion for the sports fandom space.
  • You can work in the NYC office 4 days per week.
  • Experience managing internal business channels such as B2B, brick-and-mortar and event-based programs is preferred.
  • Experience supporting or leading international programs is a plus.

Conditions

Base pay range: $180,000 to $250,000 USD. This covers base pay only and excludes short-term or long-term incentive pay. Final base pay depends on factors such as location, experience, qualifications and training.
