Description

The company is a technology integrator, and this director role leads the regional Client Solutions Architect (CSA) team for the Northeast, helping customers tie business priorities to practical technology solutions and services.

This is a player-coach position: you lead and develop CSAs, help allocate resources across the territory, support complex pursuits, and can take over the lead CSA role on key accounts when extra leadership, continuity, or thought leadership is needed.

You will work with Account Executives, CSAs, Specialists, practice leaders, Professional Services, Managed Services, and strategic technology partners to raise solution quality, strengthen customer relationships, and grow Northeast accounts.

Success is judged by how your CSA team performs and grows, the quality of customer engagements, support for priority accounts, and how well you turn customer needs into well-scoped opportunities across the company's capabilities.

Your role spans enterprise technology areas including infrastructure, networking, cloud, cybersecurity, AI, automation, and services, and you translate complex technology into practical strategy.

The role requires a New York City base and travel across the Northeast for client, partner, and company meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Northeast CSA team while staying available for hands-on customer work.
  • Take over the lead CSA role on key customers or complex pursuits when extra coverage, continuity, or technical leadership is needed.
  • Coach CSAs and sales teams on discovery, solution design, technology storytelling, tying solutions to business outcomes, whiteboarding, and running workshops.
  • Act as a trusted technology advisor to customer technology, infrastructure, security, and business leaders.
  • Work with Account Executives and CSAs to find where deeper technical engagement can widen a customer relationship.
  • Guide client conversations away from one-off purchases and toward multi-year strategic relationships.
  • Track major enterprise technology trends and bring the relevant ones into client conversations.
  • Provide thought leadership on Enterprise AI, AI infrastructure, RAG and agentic AI, data center modernization, networking, cybersecurity, hybrid cloud, automation and observability, platform engineering, Managed Services, Enterprise Service Management, and operating-model transformation.
  • Represent the company at customer briefings, client events, industry panels, technology summits, webinars, and partner engagements.
  • Support complex, multi-practice opportunities where customer context and technical strategy decide the outcome.
  • Build strong working relationships with technical leaders and architects at strategic OEM partners.
  • Bring OEM insights, roadmaps, and innovations into relevant client conversations.
  • Find where the company can build differentiated joint solutions with strategic partners.
  • Keep enough technical depth to lead key accounts and know when to bring in deeper specialists.
  • Represent the company with credibility across customers, internal teams, and the partner ecosystem.
  • Complete ongoing security awareness training and follow company policies.
  • Identify security risks, escalate them to the appropriate Executive Leadership Team member, and help drive remediation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Live in New York City and be able to travel throughout the Northeast.
  • Have 10+ years in enterprise technology, consulting, solution architecture, systems integration, or related roles, including leading or mentoring teams.
  • Have experience engaging senior technical and business stakeholders in customer-facing settings.
  • Have broad knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, networking, cloud, cybersecurity, data center, automation, AI, and services.
  • Show a track record of turning emerging technologies into practical business strategies.
  • Have shaped complex enterprise technology programs and transformation initiatives.
  • Communicate clearly with customers and present well, with strong facilitation and whiteboarding skills.
  • Have led complex pursuits and provided hands-on CSA support when required.
  • Have worked across Sales, Pre-Sales, Professional Services, Managed Services, and Delivery organizations.
  • Understand technology partner and OEM ecosystems well.
  • Have worked at a national technology integrator, consulting firm, VAR, MSP, or large enterprise technology provider.
  • Have previously been a CSA leader, solutions architecture manager, Principal Architect, Lead Architect, or technical consulting leader.
  • Have developed customer technology roadmaps and strategic account plans.
  • Be familiar with Enterprise AI, AI infrastructure, RAG, agentic AI, automation, observability, hybrid cloud, and cybersecurity strategy.
  • Preferred: experience speaking at client events, industry panels, customer briefings, or technology conferences.
