  • Manage customer expectations, raise concerns early, and propose ways to mitigate problems.
  • Show technical credibility and professionalism in customer and partner communication.
  • Keep up with new products, features and best practices, and use available technical resources well.
  • Take on extra duties such as serving as a product or solution focal point, coordinating across teams, or driving process improvements.
  • Share technical knowledge and best practices with peers to raise the team's overall capability.
  • Train, mentor and guide new colleagues and junior team members.
  • Complete administrative and documentation tasks for your scope of work, accurately and efficiently.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in IT or a related technical field.
  • A proven IT background, gained through work history or education, with the ability to analyse very technical information and explain it to varied audiences.
  • 3-7 years of experience in the technology industry, focused on technical selling.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to spot and solve problems.
  • Solid technical skills in your assigned area of specialisation.
  • Good business and financial acumen.
  • Working knowledge of consultative selling techniques, such as active listening, framing, whiteboarding and storytelling.
  • Basic project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for technical documents and customer-facing material.
  • Working knowledge of collaboration and knowledge-sharing tools such as SharePoint, Confluence and Teams.
  • Familiarity with social media, blogging and internal content platforms used to share technical knowledge.
