Digital Design Lead

Description

The company is forming a new cross-functional global team to speed up product introduction and deliver digital solutions.

You will work on AI and ML, engineering design software development, Model-Based Systems Engineering, physics-based modeling and simulation, and statistical analysis.

Your work will involve partnering with engineering, digital and IT architects, building new methods, tools and processes, and working with end users to produce measurable business results.

Responsibilities

• Engage internal customers to identify, rank and pursue the best opportunities to apply digital technologies to engineering design.
• Lead the development of a set of digital technologies and bring them into the wider digital architecture.
• Lead the building and support of code and applications so digital technologies can be deployed efficiently across engineering business value streams.
• Represent your work to internal customers, external customers and the user base.
• Track industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in digital design.

Requirements

• Hold either a bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of engineering experience, a master's degree in a STEM discipline with 3+ years of related engineering experience, or a JD/PhD in a STEM discipline.
• Be a US citizen or permanent resident to be considered.
• Preferred: a record of accelerating product design and delivering impactful digital products.
• Preferred: extensive experience with modern software development methodologies and coding languages.
• Preferred: experience developing solutions in surrogate modelling, Generative AI or Agentic AI to improve engineering design.
• Preferred: experience leading stakeholder engagement and requirements capture for engineering design improvement work.
• Preferred: a strong grasp of Systems Engineering principles and the product introduction process.
• Preferred: a proven ability to influence others through positive, effective engagement on technical and business issues.
• Preferred: excellent presentation skills and proficiency with standard Office tools.

Conditions

Full-time position.

Hybrid, with about 3 days onsite on average, based in Indianapolis, IN.

Base pay range is $122,741 to $199,454 per year.

Pay for remote employees depends on the state where they live and may differ from the posted range.

Relocation assistance is provided as needed.
