Digital Design and MBD/MBE Engineer

Description

Full-time role in Indianapolis, IN, hybrid with 3 days on site, within the Mechanical Systems category.

You will join the Digital Design and Industrialization team, supporting the group's Engineering, Technology and Safety strategy. The focus is on expanding what Siemens NX can do across the company, with room to build your technical skills and shape product definition capability.

The work also covers product definition process documentation, automation efforts such as MBD, and the digital transformation plan aimed at future engineering efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Run regression and user acceptance testing on NX, NX Copilot and Teamcenter updates, and help grow NX capability through AI.
• Support PLM and MBD systems and tools such as PMI Advisor, MBD Logic Editor, NX Checkmate and others.
• Build CAD geometric feature automations in NX using Geometry Builder, User Defined Features and Workflow Automation to improve modeling efficiency locally and globally.
• Partner with manufacturing engineering to create Product Definition Master Models that serve both design and manufacturing, covering Bill of Characteristics, Characteristic Numbering and MBE.
• Own the company's tactical MBD solution worldwide (ANARK, CADIQ, STEP configuration) and its process and guidance material.
• Support LOTAR, MBD and NX Open work that extends NX functionality.
• Own product definition process documentation and support automation workstreams such as MBD.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with 2+ years of experience, or a Master's or PhD in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• You must be a U.S. citizen to be considered.
• Preferred: Advanced CAD modeling in Siemens NX, Teamcenter PLM use, and GD&T per ASME Y14.5M and/or ISO. These are essential for this role.
• Preferred: Experience automating geometric feature creation, including authoring and user proficiency, plus data analysis and quality assurance of product definitions.
• Preferred: Clear communication, influencing and coordination skills, including working across global teams and with industry bodies such as ASME and SME.
• Preferred: Numerate, with solid technical and analytical skills, problem-solving ability and systems-level thinking.
• Preferred: Engineering experience in conceptual and detail design and detail definition methods, with a good grasp of manufacturing techniques (Design for Manufacturability).

Pay is $94,160 to $153,010 per year for the Indianapolis, IN location.

Remote employees are paid within the range for their state of residence, which may differ from the posted range.
