Description

The company's integration platform team is hiring a tech lead for the PSL IM Integration Platforms group at the company Helicopters in Albacete, Spain, within the Digital Campus.

The team builds and monitors secure API and middleware links that synchronise data, automate workflows and connect legacy and cloud systems. It runs secure API connections, middleware orchestrations, real-time data streaming and high-performance file transfer. The architect sets integration patterns, which are revised regularly to fit new requirements.

You will work day to day with the team architect and all the product managers.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain standard templates for error handling, logging and security.
  • Define development best practices for real-time REST APIs, asynchronous event-driven messaging (such as Solace or TIBCO EMS) and scheduled batch file transfers (Qlik Talend).
  • Own the technical roadmap for the integration ecosystem and design resilient, scalable, secure patterns covering event-driven, synchronous and asynchronous APIs and batch processing.
  • Write clean, production-ready code for core platform components and carry out thorough code reviews.
  • Set engineering best practices for the team.
  • Treat internal developers as your customers: promote standard schemas, self-service APIs and solid documentation to help them move faster.
  • Build distributed tracing, advanced monitoring and automated self-healing so the platform limits the impact of failures and shortens mean time to resolution.
  • Coach, mentor and develop a dedicated team of integration engineers.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or equivalent in information technology or a related field.
  • Knowledge of integration paradigms, enterprise service patterns and event-driven architecture.
  • Experience designing and managing enterprise-grade API gateways and service meshes.
  • Ability to explain technical platform concepts in terms of business value to stakeholders, and to work empathetically with other engineering teams.
  • A strong drive to learn new technologies and integration patterns.
  • An analytical approach to troubleshooting code and logic flow.
  • Awareness of compliance risks and a commitment to acting with integrity.

Conditions

Permanent contract, entry level.

Based in Albacete, Spain, with a hybrid working model; flexible arrangements are offered where possible.

Collective transport is available, depending on the working calendar and home location.

Applications and CVs must be submitted in English, as the role is managed across countries.

The company welcomes applications regardless of social or cultural background, age, gender, disability, sexual orientation or religious belief.

Benefits

  • About 35 days off per year in total, including vacation and extra days off.
  • An attractive salary.
  • Life insurance, health insurance, employee stock options, a retirement plan and study grants.
  • On-site free canteen, kindergarten and medical office.
  • Opportunities to take part in social and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
  • Strong upskilling and development prospects in a multicultural setting.
  • Access to special rates on products and benefits.
  • Albacete offers a compact city where most daily needs are a short trip away, with a safe, comfortable setting and a competitive cost of living.
  • Work as a strategic Center of Excellence within a global leader in helicopter production, with room to grow alongside major programmes.
