The company is a transformative IT authority that offers technology solutions and consulting to clients, helping IT executives gain competitive advantage through integrating, automating, and innovating.

The company is headquartered in Irvine, California, employs more than 1,200 people across the United States, and has field offices in Denver, Indianapolis, Grand Rapids, Lexington, Los Angeles, Louisville, Texas, and San Francisco.

The company describes its culture as startup-like with the scale of an established business, where employees can grow their careers.

The team supports mission-critical applications and services in classified DoD development, integration, test, and operational environments.

The work centres on deploying, integrating, sustaining, and troubleshooting containerized applications on an on-premises Kubernetes platform, mainly Tanzu Kubernetes Grid (TKG), across platform operations, CI/CD, monitoring, and DevSecOps.

The role suits a hands-on engineer with strong Linux, Kubernetes, and Docker skills who can work on their own within a fast-paced team building highly available, secure mission systems.

Several openings exist at different experience levels, so the exact scope and requirements may vary, and candidates are considered for the level that best fits their background.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot applications on Kubernetes, using Tanzu Kubernetes Grid (TKG).
  • Build and maintain Kubernetes deployment artifacts, including Helm charts, manifests, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Ingress, and service configurations.

  • Administer Linux systems, troubleshoot issues, analyse performance, and investigate root causes.
  • Support Kubernetes cluster operations, application deployments, and platform sustainment.
  • Monitor application and platform health using centralised logging, monitoring, and observability tools.
  • Troubleshoot container runtime problems, deployment failures, networking issues, and integration faults.
  • Support DevSecOps work, including vulnerability scanning, security compliance, and remediation.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience supporting Kubernetes environments, preferably Tanzu Kubernetes Grid (TKG).
  • Experience deploying and supporting containerised applications with Docker.
  • Experience creating and maintaining Kubernetes manifests, Helm charts, ConfigMaps, Secrets, and deployment pipelines.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Bamboo, Jenkins, GitLab, or comparable tools.
  • Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with application monitoring, centralised logging, and observability platforms.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems independently and contribute hands-on from day one.
  • Experience supporting classified DoD development, integration, or operations environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, systems integration, Linux engineering, or related fields is preferred.
  • Optional: experience administering or supporting Tanzu Kubernetes Grid.
  • Optional: experience with Argo CD and GitOps deployment methods.
  • Optional: experience with Trivy, SonarQube, Fortify, CAST, or similar security tools.
  • Optional: experience with container security and DevSecOps practices.
  • Optional: experience with infrastructure automation using Ansible or similar tools.
  • Optional: experience supporting missile defence, command-and-control, or other mission-critical defence systems.
