DevOps Engineer

Description

The company sells capital markets products and services to corporate, government and institutional clients, and has more than 6,500 professionals in 40 cities worldwide.

This role builds and runs DevOps platforms on Microsoft Azure, centred on AKS workloads, CI/CD automation and cloud-native operations inside a regulated banking setting.

You will work with development, infrastructure, security and platform teams to build scalable delivery tooling and keep application releases reliable, with a focus on automation, reliability, security and developer productivity.

Responsibilities

• Build, run and improve DevOps tooling and automation
• Help shape release and DevOps architecture for non-production and production environments
• Plan and run application releases, including cutovers and deployment windows
• Deploy and support apps on Azure Kubernetes Service and Azure App Service
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions
• Write and maintain Helm charts for Kubernetes deployments
• Write and maintain Terraform infrastructure as code
• Check release readiness, environment parity and deployment validation, and plan rollbacks
• Write and keep up release documents such as runbooks, cutover plans and deployment checklists
• Put DevOps security, governance and operational practices in place
• Diagnose problems in deployments, pipelines, infrastructure and production
• Find and deliver automation and process improvements
• Work with development, security, infrastructure and platform teams
• Take part in production support and operations when needed

Requirements

• 5+ years in DevOps, cloud engineering, platform engineering or a similar field
• Hands-on experience building and supporting cloud DevOps solutions
• Experience in enterprise or regulated environments
• Experience supporting production systems and application deployments
• Strong hands-on DevOps or release engineering experience
• Hands-on Microsoft Azure experience, including AKS, App Service, and Azure networking, identity and security concepts
• Strong Kubernetes and Helm experience
• Strong Terraform and infrastructure as code experience
• Strong CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions
• Experience with Git and Git-based workflows
• Solid grasp of blue/green and canary deployments and rollback strategies
• Understanding of DevOps security and secure software delivery
• Understanding of operational readiness, monitoring, troubleshooting and production support
• Good communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills

Base salary range: $126,800 to $164,100 CAD

The role is eligible for a discretionary variable compensation award based on business and individual performance.
