You will work alongside experienced engineers, architects and client teams to design, build and support modern cloud systems, mainly on Microsoft Azure with a focus on cloud-native and serverless technology.

The work is hands-on engineering: solving technical problems, automating infrastructure and application delivery, and working directly with clients.

Success in this role means delivering high-quality, dependable work for clients, understanding their industry and challenges, recommending effective service, and bringing a positive, professional attitude to the team.

You are also expected to adopt digital tools and strategies, act with integrity, respect and collaboration, and keep building your expertise through learning and development.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, configure and support Azure cloud and serverless solutions for enterprise clients.
  • Build cloud-native solutions with services such as Azure Functions, App Service, API Management, Event Hubs, Storage, Key Vault and Azure networking.
  • Create and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code and automation using Terraform, PowerShell, Azure CLI and/or Python.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments using modern DevOps and source-control practices.
  • Work with architects and senior engineers to deliver secure, scalable and resilient cloud solutions that meet client requirements.
  • Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and application issues, and help improve performance, reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Talk with client stakeholders and multidisciplinary the company teams to understand their needs and turn them into practical technical solutions.
  • Write technical documentation, reusable solutions and best practices, and help improve them across the practice.

Requirements

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on cloud engineering experience, with Microsoft Azure strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience building or supporting cloud-native and/or serverless solutions.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, ideally Terraform, and with scripting or automation in PowerShell, Azure CLI and/or Python.
  • Understanding of CI/CD, Git-based workflows, APIs, networking, identity, security and cloud operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Optional: exposure to containers and Kubernetes is an asset.
  • Optional: experience in banking or financial services and/or a consulting or professional services setting is preferred.
  • Optional: Microsoft Azure certifications are an asset; Azure, AWS or Google Cloud certifications are listed as preferred qualifications.

Conditions

The expected annual compensation range for this role is $68,000 to $104,000.
