The team builds cloud-native applications with the SAP Cloud Application Programming (CAP) model.

Responsibilities

• Build cloud-native applications with the CAP model.
• Write CDS/CQL data models for SAP HDI containers and package deployments with Cloud MTA build tools.
• Create ABAP Cloud extensions and handle real-time communication through SAP Event Mesh.
• Build scalable SAP Fiori apps with SAPUI5, custom XML views, OData V4 binding and SAP Cloud SDK integration.
• Design and build Generative AI workflows in SAP Build that automate complex business processes.
• Coordinate distributed data processing with SAP Datasphere and deploy fine-tuned models to SAP AI Core using the SAP FedML library.
• Build large-scale data pipelines with PySpark and Databricks, using Apache Arrow Flight for fast, zero-copy data exchange.
• Apply data governance and privacy controls with SAP HANA Data Anonymization.
• Script BTP infrastructure provisioning for Kyma and Cloud Foundry with BTP CLI, managing subaccounts, entitlements and service instances.
• Lead hands-on Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs) that benchmark distributed systems with JMeter.
• Design multi-region PostgreSQL database replication and check horizontal scaling logic in cloud clusters.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, plus 5 years of progressive experience after the degree in this role or a closely related one.
• Or a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in the same fields, plus 3 years of experience in this role or a closely related one.
• 3 years building SAP BTP applications with the CAP model.
• 3 years writing CDS/CQL data models for SAP HDI containers.
• 3 years creating ABAP Cloud extensions connected through SAP Event Mesh.
• 3 years packaging applications with Cloud MTA build tools.
• 3 years implementing Generative AI workflows for process automation with SAP Build, and distributed data processing with SAP Datasphere.
• 3 years enforcing data privacy with SAP HANA Data Anonymization, and deploying fine-tuned models to SAP AI Core through the SAP Federated Machine Learning (SAP FedML) library.
• 3 years developing secure Integration Suite iFlows that use Groovy for message processing, with OIDC principal propagation through SAP Cloud Connector and XSUAA.
• 3 years automating BTP provisioning on Kyma and Cloud Foundry with btp CLI scripts for service instances, subaccount subscriptions, role collections and entitlements.
• 3 years building scalable SAP Fiori apps with SAPUI5, custom XML Views and Fragments, OData V4 model binding, routing, and SAP Cloud SDK integration.
• 3 years building PySpark and Databricks pipelines, using the Apache Arrow Flight protocol for real-time, zero-copy data sharing across data lakehouses.
• 1 year of hands-on PoCs assessing distributed system performance with JMeter.
• 1 year implementing multi-region PostgreSQL replication.
• 1 year validating horizontal scaling logic in cloud-based clusters.

Conditions

Hybrid work model, based in Palo Alto, CA.

No travel required.

Annual base salary range: $172,369 to $206,460.

Targeted combined annual range including variable incentive: $172,369 to $229,400.

The offer falls within the range and depends on education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location and the selection process.

Variable incentive amounts are target-based, and payouts depend on company and individual performance.
