  • Support the value the company places on journalistic independence and its pursuit of truth.
  • You report to the Design Director.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of professional design experience in an agency, in-house, media or marketing setting.
  • Hands-on experience across social, event and presentation design.
  • Strong skill in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • A refined eye for typography and layout.
  • Experience designing for several formats and channels, including presentations and digital communications.
  • Working knowledge of basic motion design.
  • A digital portfolio showing polished, finished design work.
  • Experience with Google Suite and Keynote.
  • Preferred: experience supporting marketing, advertising, media or brand teams.
  • Preferred: ability to grasp a brief quickly, set priorities and work independently with suitable direction.
  • Preferred: strong communication and collaboration skills, especially with non-design partners.
  • Preferred: comfort in a high-volume environment with shifting priorities and short timelines.

Conditions

Temporary, part-time contract of 3 to 6 months at 20 to 25 hours per week, with hours that may shift with business needs.

Annual base pay of $73,000 to $83,000 USD.
