Design Lead

The role leads design delivery and project quality, covering the team's development and governance across the portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Run the design execution functions for the regional businesses in Western Australia and South Australia.
• Find methods that raise quality and improve operational performance.
• Drive continuous improvement, and manage revision control, life-cycle replacement, and the assessment and management of changes to design software platforms.
• Recruit, develop and plan succession for your team.
• Build a supportive, inclusive team where people own their work and grow professionally.
• Keep every project delivering to high standards of quality, safety and client satisfaction.

Requirements

• Relevant tertiary or vocational training in engineering design and drafting, or engineering technology.
• Experience and certification in using and administering design and drafting platforms, including the Autodesk suite (Advance Steel, Plant 3D, Civil 3D, Revit), the Bentley suite (Microstation), and design data management platforms (Autodesk Vault, ProjectWise).
• Team leadership and business leadership experience in consulting engineering within the mining and/or industrial sectors.

Conditions

Hybrid working is available, with work from an office, a remote location or a client site.
