You will build trusted client relationships, help grow the business and contribute to developing people and culture.

Responsibilities

  • Define the critical success factors for each project, beyond on time, on budget and to agreed scope, and make sure every work stream has a plan to meet them.
  • Manage project finances against agreed commercial and profitability targets, keeping forecasts and reports accurate.
  • Spot ways to add value for clients, manage their expectations proactively and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Build an environment where teams can do their best work, learn and grow, and help build a positive, inclusive culture.
  • Manage, coach and develop a small number of staff, with a focus on their performance.
  • Make sure every team member has clear goals, regular feedback and timely, constructive appraisals.
  • Make sure team members have learning and development objectives that build the skills the project needs.
  • Lead staffing of teams and onboarding of new members.
  • Build and maintain constructive, collaborative relationships with the client, other suppliers and third-party stakeholders.
  • Set up and enforce appropriate project governance and technical quality standards across the project lifecycle.
  • Manage project risks and issues, escalating them where needed.
  • Ensure you and your team follow all confidentiality and non-disclosure policies and agreements, and protect information at all times.
  • Work with Sales, Account Leads and Account Management to grow existing and new customer relationships, contributing to proposals, procurement and customer engagement.
  • Share project successes inside the company, with customers and through external industry channels.
  • Know the contracts and commercial terms on your projects and make sure the company does not fall out of compliance.
  • Help drive continuous improvement within the Management Capability.
  • Keep up with thinking from the Technology, Experience Design and Consulting capabilities and align the project with it where useful.
  • Encourage new ideas in technology and process, inside and outside the project.
  • Actively support recruitment to help the organisation grow steadily.

Requirements

  • You have delivered complex digital programmes in a consultancy, professional services or similar environment.
  • You have digital delivery experience and have managed stakeholders in complex settings.
  • You have worked in Agile delivery environments.
  • You have balanced delivery outcomes, customer needs and commercial considerations, including financial reporting and budget management.
  • You have led, coached and developed individuals and teams.
  • You have planned capacity and built multidisciplinary teams for complex digital programmes.
  • You are able to work on customer sites, which may involve travel when required.
  • You are eligible to achieve SC clearance, which requires five years of continuous UK residence and background checks. This applies to the Public and Defence sectors.
  • Desirable: You have delivered programmes in government, healthcare, defence or another highly regulated environment.
  • Desirable: You are curious about emerging technologies, including AI, and willing to explore how they can improve delivery, team experience and customer outcomes.
  • Desirable: You have built business development experience, ideally including winning follow-on work from existing clients.
  • Desirable: You have delivered digital transformation projects and have led initiatives that improved management and leadership practices in a team or organisation.
