Description

Are you passionate about turning creative graphics into production-ready solutions?

Join us as a Decoration Engineer and work at the intersection of graphics, printing and manufacturing. Using Adobe Illustrator, ESKO and your technical curiosity, you’ll take approved graphic designs and prepare them for testing and production on LEGO Bricks.

This is a role for someone who enjoys getting into the details of graphic files while also keeping an overview of the full process. You’ll collaborate with graphic designers, test center specialists and production engineers to make sure each graphic is delivered for high-quality print first time through, adhering to guidelines.

Core Responsibilities

Use Adobe Illustrator and ESKO to prepare and adapt graphics for testing and production

Transform 2D graphic designs into production-ready artwork that prints with the right warp on LEGO Bricks.

Prepare graphics by adjusting dimensions, layers and print order to achieve the intended visual result

Coordinate the graphic preparation flow from approved design through testing and production

Collaborate closely with designers, test center specialists and global production engineers to solve graphic and technical challenges

Ensure graphic preparation follows established standards, rules and quality requirements

Support the test center with graphic adjustments and sparring during test print

Optimise and document processes and guidelines, contributing to increased standardisation and a smooth production flow

Play your part in our team succeeding

Novelty Development is responsible for transforming creative graphic designs into robust, production-ready decoration solutions for LEGO Bricks. Our work sits between design and manufacturing, ensuring that graphics can successfully move from a two-dimensional design to a high-quality decoration on a physical LEGO Brick.

You’ll join a dedicated team of colleagues based in Billund, working together to bring creative graphics to life. The team prepares and adapts artwork for production while continuously developing and improving graphic decoration processes to create even more possibilities for future LEGO decorations.

Do you have what it takes?

You are structured, positive, and detail-oriented, and you enjoy working hands-on with graphics. You’re comfortable spending a significant part of your day in Adobe Illustrator, carefully preparing and adjusting artwork to get the details right.

Some parts of the work is structured and repetitive, so you appreciate following a defined process while still being curious enough to question, improve and solve problems when something doesn’t work as expected.

In addition, you bring:

Experience working with Adobe Illustrator; experience with ESKO and Automation Engine is an advantage

2+ years of relevant professional experience, preferably within prepress, graphic production, printing or a manufacturing environment

Experience preparing and adapting graphics for production, with a good understanding of dimensions, layers, print order and graphic quality

Knowledge of printing technologies and prepress processes. Experience with pad printing (Tampo printing) is an advantage, while experience with other printing technologies, such as flexographic printing, is also relevant

A strong interest in technical solutions and hands-on problem-solving

The ability to work in a structured way, follow processes and maintain an overview across several tasks and priorities

Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, enabling you to work effectively across design, engineering, testing and production

Professional proficiency in English
