Dataflow Engineer

Description

The team builds dataflows that are reliable, efficient and scalable, and those flows support mission-critical operations.

This is a full-time Regular position in Information Technology with no travel required.

The role centres on hands-on work with Apache NiFi, alongside the data providers and consumers and the work of improving the performance and usability of the company's data-movement setup.

Responsibilities

• Move data between systems, reshaping and enriching it on the way.
• Set up, ship and keep Apache NiFi workflows and clusters running.
• Work with the teams that send and receive data so the flows keep running smoothly.
• Help resolve escalated customer tickets and troubleshoot dataflow problems.
• Look for ways to make dataflow processes more reliable over time.

Requirements

• Required: An active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
• Required: Education and experience in a technical field directly related to this role, meeting one of these combinations, with degrees and certificates from accredited institutions: a High School Diploma plus 12 years of relevant experience; an Associate's degree plus 10 years; a Bachelor's degree plus 8 years; a Master's degree plus 6 years; or a Doctorate plus 4 years.
• Required: At least 2 years of hands-on work with Apache NiFi.
• Required: Prior work standing up NiFi clusters.
• Required: Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Required: Ability to write and read Regular Expressions (RegEx).
• Desired: Experience with AWS Elasticsearch or Splunk.
• Desired: Linux skills.
• Desired: Knowledge of MySQL.
• Desired: Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Ansible.
• Desired: Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Conditions

The full-time salary range for this position is $103,800 - $218,100.

Final pay depends on factors including location, Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, prior relevant experience, specific skills, education and certifications.

The role requires no travel.
