Data Engineer

Description

The company is adding a Data Engineer to its BI team in Lisbon.

The work centres on SAP Business Objects administration and development, database environments, data pipeline design, and release activity that supports data and reporting platforms.

The company is a European digital services provider. It offers consulting, application services, digital engineering, cloud, cybersecurity, platform and infrastructure services to clients going through digital change.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain SAP Business Objects universes, and change them as needs evolve.
• Plan and build data pipelines that perform well.
• Set up and manage SAP Business Objects user groups, security roles and restrictions.
• Script the release of data and BI assets across environments.
• Help carry out SAP Business Objects version upgrades and universe migrations.
• Track database performance and help troubleshoot issues.
• Take part in data and data infrastructure initiatives.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of SAP Business Objects.
• Hands-on experience with database platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle or Teradata.
• Knowledge of Python.
• A degree in IT, computer science or information management, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Comfort adapting to change and working closely with technical colleagues.
• Careful, detail-oriented work.
• Professional-level English.
• Valued: experience with Power BI, Alteryx or Dataiku.
• Valued: experience with digital product deployments.
• Valued: experience with third-party data governance.
• Valued: experience in large enterprise environments.
• Valued: French language skills.
