Data Centre – Design Manager (m/f/d) MEP

Description

The company runs a multidisciplinary team that serves data centre clients across Western Europe, on hyperscale, colocation and enterprise projects.

This role focuses on the German market and calls for solid design management experience in the local data centre sector.

You will stay closely involved to deliver on time, meeting clients' recurring deadlines, budgets and requirements.

You decide the right level and mix of people for each project, and you own bid pricing so new work delivers the fees and margins that were sold. Project management skills are therefore needed.

The company is a Fortune 500 firm with $16.1 billion in revenue for fiscal year 2024 and nearly 51,000 staff across planning, design, engineering, science, digital, and program and construction management.

Responsibilities

• Manage design work in a fast-moving project setting in Germany.
• Lead cross-regional, multidisciplinary teams covering CSA and MEP.
• Support bids on multidisciplinary opportunities with key clients, both commercially and technically.
• Make sure internal governance and local regulations are followed at bid stage and throughout project delivery.

Requirements

• Senior multidisciplinary design manager with an MEP background.
• Experience in data centres in an accountable design management role.
• Fluent in German and English, including contractual language.
• Able to handle a heavy workload and tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, which are essential.
