Responsibilities

• Work alongside Senior Field Service Engineers [Customer Engineers] to install, maintain, and upgrade customer equipment.
• Troubleshoot problems using digital analytics.
• Run basic diagnostic checks to assess equipment and fix technical faults, with guidance from Senior Field Service Engineers [Customer Engineers].
• Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems. Training is provided.
• Coordinate with customers and communicate with them directly.
• Take on other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Hold an Associate degree, military technical training, field service experience, or a trade certification.
• Have 1-2 years of work experience in customer or field service support, or a related technical field.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Have experience diagnosing and resolving basic technical problems.
• Have basic mechanical aptitude with pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, or thermodynamics.
• Be comfortable using hand tools correctly, including digital multimeters.
• Communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Have basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Hold a valid driver's license, and be able to obtain a passport if travel is required.
• Be able to meet all on-site requirements, including safety, environmental guidelines, and COVID-19 protocols.
• Preferred: 2-4 years of work experience in customer or field service support, or a related technical field.
• Preferred: knowledge of CMP.
• Physical demands: often extensive walking and prolonged standing, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs and ladders, and working at height. You may lift up to 35 lbs., distinguish colors, work with electricity, work in noisy environments, and use hand and power tools.
• Clean room work requires appropriate personal protective equipment, such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields.

Conditions

Location: Graz, Austria.

Full-time, assignee / regular employee type.

Travel: 25% of the time.

Relocation is not eligible.

Salary: €51,200.00 to €70,400.00, based on location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity with current team members.

For sales roles, the posted range is target total cash: base salary plus target bonus at 100% goal achievement.
