Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) Engineer

Description

The company needs a Cross Domain Solutions engineer to deploy enterprise CDS platforms in support of USAREUR-AF.

The role sits in IT infrastructure and operations and involves complex technical projects.

Responsibilities

• Deploy enterprise cross domain solutions.
• Identify conflicts that arise when CDS technologies are implemented across the enterprise, and recommend fixes.
• Help complete project milestones.
• Solve complex technical problems and engineer solutions.
• Deploy new capabilities that add functionality, improve system performance and availability, and make the operational environment easier to maintain.
• Support assessment and authorization activities for CDS technologies.
• Provide Tier 3 maintenance for deployed CDS technologies.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of cross domain solutions, cybersecurity and networking.
• Ten or more years of related experience, including ten years of recent specialized experience.
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience.
• You must currently hold a Top Secret clearance and be able to obtain TS/SCI. No public trust clearance is required.
• US citizenship is required.
• CompTIA Security+ CE is required to start. CompTIA SecurityX CE is also listed.
• ITIL Foundation certification is required within 90 days of your start date.
• One or more of the following certifications is required: CISSP (IAT III or IAM III).
• Expertise with GOTS and COTS CDS products on the UCDSMO approved products list.
• Preferred: experience with Radiant Mercury and EverFox CDS.
• Understanding of cybersecurity architecture principles, including defense in depth, resilience and integrated security operations.
• Ability to turn functional cybersecurity requirements into system requirements.
• Ability to juggle several tasks at once, coordinate resources and meet scheduled goals in a demanding setting.
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior managers at every level.
• Ability to make decisions and solve problems by gathering and evaluating data, ranking priorities and choosing the best solution or practice.
• Ability to multitask, work alone or on a team, share workloads, and adjust to sudden changes in priorities.
• Experience in a related security discipline such as identity and access management, cybersecurity operations, cybersecurity engineering, IT security audit or information assurance.
• Experience taking part in testing and evaluation of government or vendor systems, products and services.
• For German TESA requirements, one of the following: a bachelor's degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience; an associate's degree plus 7 years; a major certification plus 7 years; or 11 years of recent specialized experience.

Conditions

Based onsite at Wiesbaden Army Airfield in Wiesbaden, Germany.

Scheduled for 40 hours per week.

Travel is less than 10% of the time.

The likely salary range is $107,744 to $123,906. Pay is set by experience, location and possibly contract terms, and may fall outside this range.

International pay varies by tax, social security, immigration status and location, and an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, or relocation or transportation benefits above base salary.
