Description

The internal advertising agency and production studio of the Personal Care division is hiring a Creative Director to make short-form ads for a well-loved men's brand.

The studio is small but growing fast. The role suits a creative who has spent years in agencies, has worked on many different brands, and enjoys advertising and its history.

You will lead campaign work for some of the company's largest brands, from strategy through to production.

The core of the job is quick-turn social content with strong hooks, supported by strategic thinking across print, short-form content, activations and social-first ideas.

The team is hands-on and small, so everyone works on the creative output.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor a team of creative professionals, and build a collaborative environment that supports new ideas and career growth.
  • Use the latest AI tools to find new ideas and new ways to produce them. Strong prompting skills are essential.
  • Plan, run and deliver creative projects on schedule, within budget and to a high standard.
  • Set strategic and creative direction for all projects. Review and approve campaign work so it matches client goals and brand guidelines.
  • Work closely with in-house clients to understand their needs, and present concepts that meet or beat their expectations.
  • Allocate resources, balance workloads and set priorities to hit deadlines. Find and fix workflow problems.
  • Think and make: come up with the idea and write the scripts, or build the mini social campaign and art direct it into finished work.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in art direction or copywriting, including at least 3 years leading creative teams as a Creative Director in an agency.
  • Experience playing a player-coach role, both doing the work and guiding others through it.
  • A proven ability to lead and motivate a team of creative professionals.
  • A strong portfolio covering a range of creative projects and design skills.
  • Clear communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant design software.
  • Strong organizational skills for handling several projects at once.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • An ability to build solid relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • A track record of leading big brands and strong conceptual skills, with a knack for spotting a weak brief and helping to fix it.
