Consultant, Software Engineer

Customer care drives the team. This software engineer role writes production scripts that fix live application incidents across insurance platforms.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, debug and maintain online and batch programs on the IBM mainframe, using COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, VSAM and IBM mainframe tools.
• Write advanced SQL and PL/SQL, including stored procedures, in Oracle and SQL Developer to repair data, ship production fixes and support business reporting.
• Work through incident, defect, problem and knowledge management under ITSM practices, using ServiceNow and Jira.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering.
• 5 years of experience doing the work described above.
• Consistently show the company's values in your daily work.

Conditions

Exempt from overtime.

Hybrid schedule, working in a standard office setting.

You may be on call after normal working hours and/or on weekends.

National salary range: $118,000.00-$222,000.00. Expected starting range: $118,000.00-$178,000.00. Exact pay depends on skills, education, training, credentials, experience, the scope and complexity of the role, location, local labor costs and other employment terms.

Salary ranges are for full-time work. Part-time pay is prorated by hours worked.
