Communication System Engineer

Description

The company is a joint venture of the company (67%) and Leonardo (33%) that builds space systems and has done so for more than 40 years.

Its work covers telecommunications, navigation, Earth observation, environmental management, exploration, science and orbital infrastructure.

The company employs around 8,900 people in 10 countries, with 17 sites in Europe and a plant in the US.

This is a Communication System Engineer role.

Responsibilities

• Study customer needs through advanced studies, simulations, mock-ups, models and prototypes.
• Turn those needs into specifications and architecture that point to the best solution or product.
• Design the architecture of the command and control system.
• Define test plans and procedures for system-level testing.
• Prepare and run integration, verification and validation tests.
• Make sure the system design, interfaces and performance are technically integrated and consistent.
• Present the solution to the customer.

Requirements

• Master's degree in electronic or telecommunication engineering.
• Proven experience in software and/or hardware, systems engineering and IVVQ activities.
• Between 0 and 1 year of experience.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Ability to grasp quickly the system you work in, including its stakeholders, interactions, products and environment.
• Understanding of what design-to-cost means.
• Familiarity with DOORS, Polarion, TFS and JIRA.
• Familiarity with network configuration and administration.
• Experience leading engineering projects or activities.
• Drive to keep learning and to design new solutions for customer needs.
• Interest in one of: concept, requirement management, development, test, integration or validation, and a wish to deepen it.
• Enjoy solving complex problems in a demanding setting and working closely with others.

Conditions

Permanent contract.

CCNL Met/Ind, category B1.

Salary: € 34.637,14 - € 36.010,13.
