CNC Programmer Co-op - Spring 2027

Description

This spring 2027 co-op places students in a data-driven manufacturing setting where the pace is quick and the work changes often.

Your assignments will fall across the areas listed below.

Responsibilities

• Write 2 and 3-axis N/C processes for development hardware, including machining programs and tooling, along with 4 and 5-axis N/C processes.
• Create CMM programs to inspect development hardware.
• Help improve processes on mature hardware, with similar support.
• Set up and run N/C and standard machine tools that support development and production cells.
• Build development hardware from blueprints, sketches and verbal instructions.
• Carry out in-process dimensional checks, including CMM setup and operation.
• Find and fix process problems.
• Draft development and production plans, and update production plans when process changes require it.
• Take on other related tasks when needed.

Requirements

• Be enrolled full-time in a Bachelor of Science engineering program.
• Have completed two full years of college, and be a rising junior.
• Be willing and able to work at the Lynn, MA site.
• Desired: hands-on experience with mechanical repair, construction or similar work.
• Desired: strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Conditions

Work is based in Lynn, MA.

Any job offer depends on passing a background investigation and a drug screen.
