Cloud Platform Engineer - Tires

The tire business sector made €13.8 billion in sales in fiscal 2025. It has more than 56,000 people worldwide, 19 production sites and 16 development sites. Its range covers car, truck, bus, two-wheel and specialty tires, plus smart solutions and services for fleets and tire retailers.

The global cloud services team builds scalable, secure and cost-effective cloud platforms that support the company's solutions around the world. The team is hiring a Cloud Data Engineer (FinOps) to build and run central financial operations tooling across AWS and Azure landing zones.

This role lets you lower cloud costs, make spending visible, and set up the governance that helps application teams make informed financial decisions about cloud resources. You will help shape the company's cloud financial strategy within a global, collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Build and roll out FinOps practices and tools on AWS and Azure landing zones to bring cloud spending down.
• Produce cost dashboards and reports so stakeholders can see where money goes.
• Automate financial operations such as budget alerts, anomaly detection and chargeback.
• Study cloud usage patterns and propose strategies to cut costs.
• Set up financial controls that make sure costs are allocated correctly.
• Resolve platform issues, service requests and work orders raised by customers.
• Write and maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks.

Requirements

• You hold a degree in computer science, another technical field or an equivalent qualification.
• You have at least 3 years of cloud platform engineering experience focused on financial operations and cost optimization.
• You understand FinOps principles, cloud cost management and billing processes on AWS and Azure well.
• You have worked with Databricks, ETL processes, Power BI and financial data analysis in cloud environments.
• You automate processes and write scripts, for example in Python, for financial reporting workflows.
• You have basic knowledge of financial controlling and budgeting in technology environments.
• You analyse complex financial data and can design workflows around it.
• You speak English at a professional working level.
